Private Psychiatry (\u041a\u043e\u043b\u0435\u0433\u0438\u0443\u043c \u201e\u0427\u0430\u0441\u0442\u043d\u0430 \u043f\u0441\u0438\u0445\u0438\u0430\u0442\u0440\u0438\u044f\u201c) brings together psychiatrists, clinical psychologists and like-minded professionals dedicated to modern and humane mental health care. Founded in 2000, with Assoc. Prof. Georgi Koychev playing a leading role, it promotes the development of private psychiatric practice, psychotherapy and professional exchange.<\/p>\n<p>Through its annual conferences and training programmes, the College connects specialists in Bulgaria with Bulgarian colleagues abroad and with the international psychiatric community. It has been a member of the European Psychiatric Association (EPA) since 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The College develops consensus statements and standards of good practice, holds expert meetings and sets ethical rules for professionals in private practice, in line with good clinical practice and national law. It represents the interests of its members and supports the development of research in mental health.<\/p>\n<p>Its annual scientific conference with international participation bears the name of Assoc. Prof. Georgi Koychev, MD, and reaches its 26th edition in 2027. Over the years, leading psychiatrists and specialists from various fields have taken part, including Prof. Peter Falkai (LMU Munich), Prof. Andrea Cipriani (University of Oxford), Prof. Amine Benyamina (Paris-Saclay University, AP-HP), Dr C\u00e9cile Hanon (AP-HP, Paris) and Acad. Prof. Latchezar Traykov (neurologist, Medical University of Sofia).
